Housekeeping Team Leader / Supervisor

Varel Singapore, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is set to open in Q1 2026, and we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader / Supervisor to join our pre-opening team.

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Team Leader / Supervisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience through immaculate spaces and thoughtful touches. You will lead a dedicated team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and brand expression - ensuring every room reflects the warmth and individuality of our Tribute Portfolio identity.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Operations

• Plan daily resources and assign tasks to ensure smooth shift operations
• Supervise cleaning activities and room readiness in line with Marriott brand standards
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, service pantries, and housekeeping trolleys
• Monitor room turnover and coordinate with Front Office for timely releases
• Report maintenance issues and follow through on defect rectification
• Prepare rooms for VIP arrivals, ensuring personalized setups and amenities
• Maintain inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies
• Support sustainability efforts through responsible product usage and waste reduction

Team Leadership

• Guide and motivate a team of Room Attendants and Public Area Cleaners
• Conduct on-the-job training and onboarding for new hires
• Provide coaching and feedback to enhance performance and service delivery
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance across all housekeeping activities
• Foster a culture of pride, accountability, and attention to detail

Talent Profile

• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel setting (4-5 star preferred)
• Pre-opening experience (a plus!)
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and chemical handling
• Confident communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment
• Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Able to start work within short notice.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
